Inverter Generator
What is Inverter Generator
Reasons to have an inverter for generators
We know that when the magnet is mounted on the rotor, and the coil is mounted on the stator, when the rotor rotates, current and voltage will appear on the winding of the stator. However, according to the law of electromagnetic induction, the coil itself generates a magnetic field that opposes the rotation of the Rotor. This force is called Lenz's force. When there is load consumption, or the kinetic energy supplied to the rotor is unstable, the voltage and current will be unstable in value and frequency.
So the Current generated on the coil mounted on the stator will be charged to the battery. Then from the battery will go to the inverter. Here, the battery voltage and current are time constant (DC), which will be converted to time changing current (AC). At the output of the inverter, the voltage and current can be customized as desired. Normally will adjust is 110V/220V/380V with frequency of 50Hz or 60Hz.
So what is an inverter generator?
An inverter generator is a basic AC generator, consisting of a magnet mounted on the rotor and a coil on the stator, with a source of kinetic energy supplied to the rotor, and with an additional part to regulate the voltage and frequency of the electric. This converter is called an inverter.
Note that some inverter generators do not have a battery that stores electricity before it enters the inverter. Because now the inverter has many built-in features. The electronic circuit in the inverter can flatten the disturbance voltage into a flat form like the pure DC voltage of the battery. However, the battery is a power storage part, and it is necessary for a backup inverter generator.
For better understanding, here are two illustrations for inverter generators

Inverter Generator Dual Fuel
A dual fuel inverter generator is also a type of inverter generator that uses fuel to generate kinetic energy for the rotor of the generator, but is a generator that can use a variety of fuels. Typically, generators run on both gasoline and propane fuel.
Note that there is no generator that runs on both gasoline and diesel fuel. Because Zen Diesel Engine does not have spark plug ignition mechanism, while gasoline engine requires spark plug ignition to work.
Inverter Generator For Sale
Where to buy the best inverter generator
There are two easy places to buy online, namely Amazon and Aliexpress. Also, you can search on search engines and you will find many websites that sell inverter generators. However, the diversity and abundance of inverter generators is located in 2 locations representing the Americas and Asia, namely Amazon and Aliexpress.
You can also choose to buy on Ebay, Alibaba, etc.

Buy at Aliexpress: inverter generator
How to choose the best inverter generator
First, you should define capacity criteria. If the bridge uses a lot of electricity, and you want to buy an inverter generator to live off the grid, then you should calculate the power consumption of your family. Then choose the type of generator with the appropriate capacity
If the capacity of the inverter generator is still not enough for your home, you can purchase a Uninterruptible power supply (UPS). Because you don't use electricity at night, you let it work and store it at UPS, for daytime electricity use.

Next, choose a high-quality inverter generator. So how to know which generator brand is good? First, base yourself on the brand, then look at product reviews. But don't be so quick to believe online reviews. Second, you should look at customer feedback on the product, and see the star ratings for the product.
Homemade inverter generator
The homemade inverter generator is similar to the inverter generators available on the market just in principle. In terms of form and features, homemade inverter generators will be different from those for sale.
Materials to buy for homemade:
- Generators for sale
- Motion converter and converter to power generator rotors, such as belts, flywheels, etc.
- Battery: can be a battery or many connected in parallel, to store electricity
- Inverter
- Wire
- Other accessories
Assemble them according to the block diagram in "What is an inverter generator?"
The job is probably not difficult when you understand the working principle of the inverter generator, and the function of the inverter. Understanding inverter, please see this article: What is an Inverter?
Comments of Easy Power Plan about inverter generators:
Hydropower plants do not use inverters, but still generate a steady current and have a frequency of always 50Hz or 60Hz, despite the load consumed. When the load is consumed, the rotor speed must decrease. This is the secret of the big energy corporations - the "Big Electricity"
When entering the hydroelectric plant, you only see the top of it, below is the basement that is producing free energy. That is, the generators of the Big Electricity do not use fuel, or any source of kinetic energy at all. They are selling us free energy. They are using Nikola Tesla's AC generator technology.
Inverter generators are not stupid. Because this is the effort and wisdom of engineers. But in fact, this type of generator was born to confirm the lie that: free energy is not real! This generator is backed by the George Westinghouse Corporation.
